The physical health of people is, of course, a very critical aspect to take note of within the world. However, sections such as social and mental health are just as important to the overall health of a human being - especially within our current social climate.
Suicide rates, depression and loneliness have all increased drastically within the last decade. In fact, instead of waiting for people to reach such tragic conditions in their lives, we should ‘attack’ the threat before it is too big. Therefore, we should strive for a healthier and more wholesome lifestyle with regards to our hearts and minds. This, brings me towards my concept:
Eternal Metamorphosis
The reason as to why I named my strategy Eternal Metamorphosis is because of the fact that we are forever changing human beings. We never remain the same, stagnant person within our lives. We all experience things within our lives that shape us - both the good and the bad. Therefore, it is also very important as to how we acknowledge and reflection on those situations within our lives.
This campaign was executed as sessions being held every week. Within these sessions, we will be upholding meditation sessions as well as intellectual yet reflective conversations. Meditation has been scientifically proven to reduce stress; control anxiety; increase emotional health and self-awareness as well as generate kindness (Thorpe, 2017). Therefore, sessions will allow for individuals to reflect on themselves and gain a certain type of peace.
Deep intellectual conversations will assist firstly in the overall communication between other people and secondly in the stimulation of the mind. Other factors can be that it will assist in the growth of emotional intelligence, charisma, problem-solving, open-mindedness and mutual understanding (Granneman, 2017). This, therefore, assists with the many social issues that occur within people’s lives as well.
Therefore, Eternal Metamorphosis will not only help individuals as forever growing people but also allow for them to spread that peace to other people around them. These sessions will be an hour (an hour and a half depending on how long some conversations run for) long - in outdoor spaces.
